Summertime
What's up everyone? Sorry its been a while since I last blogged. I had to sort of lay low and chill out for a while to get through the anger and disappointment of losing in the first round. It's been an emotional roller coaster these last few weeks to say the least. Wow. I am still trying to recover from what happened to us in the first round. We could have and should have won that series. It is mind boggling and one of the hardest things I've had to swallow in a long time. You work your butt off the whole season with such high hopes and potential and it all just crumbled. I was frustrated with my play and the team's play as well. San Antonio is an incredible team with an unbelievable coach and they deserved to win. They know their roles, respect their coach, and know what it takes to win in the playoffs. I really think game one set the tone for the series. It gave them confidence and momentum. We should have won that game. Really they blew us out only one game and we blew them out one game. The other three just have easily could have gone our way. But it's in the past now and we have to forgive and forget. I have to take the experience and learn from it and it just motivates me to work my @ss off this summer! So here we are now....vacation started a little early this year. I have no choice but to move on at this point and focus on my game and next season. I am leaving for Brazil soon and I'm so excited to get home and see my family and friends. I'm going to rest my body for a bit and then get to work. I am really motivated and am going to work hard this summer on my defense and mid range jumper, along with all the other fundamentals. Thanks to all of you for your support during the season. I really appreciate it. I'll check in with you all to say what's up. Tchau!

The Playoffs just aren't the same. :-(
That being said, try not to beat yourself up about the first round exit too much...keep in mind, they are still the Spurs. Like you said, they're a great team. They know how to win. That's reality.
Just have to move forward.
Have fun in Brasil, LB.

Yes it was disappointing. I hope you have a great summer and yes you are right. We all learn from our mistakes and the only thing that can happen now is to accept it and move on and do BETTER. We true fans are behind you 100% and cannot wait until next season. I will be watching you boys at the outdoor game in Cali, it should be GREAT!!!!
Personally though, I don't think Spurs deserve to win... I hated that Hack da Shaq thing. I think that makes him less confident that his team was going to win that he had to do that. Again, my personal opinion.
We love you!!!

Please though, if at all possible PLEASE in the future remain a Sun! I understand that things can become crazy now that Mike has left... just know that you are very important to Suns fans. We love ya! Take care and good luck in Brazil! I hope this summer's training goes well! -Scott

I believe that game one was the key factor of this first round series.
I didn't agree with the player movement during the season, but I was really praying for it to work. We say in Brazil that soccer is a box full of surprises, right? I think that in basketball it's the same thing. When you face a team like the Spurs it's just unpredictable. Well, now I'm sorry for Coach D'Antoni. I'm sure you too. He seems to be a great person besides the great coach we know he is. I'm not saying that he didn't make mistakes during the season, but I think that the critics on D'antoni are just too much. People just forgive to give him credits for all that he made. Anyway, the most important thing from losing is the lesson that we learn, right?
So just don't give up, because the basketball fans in Brazil just think in one thing right now: We must qualify for the Olympics! And I'm sure you want it more than anyone.
Grande abraço,
Fábio - Fortaleza/Ceará
